Fire Safety Consulting for Commercial Real Estate in Calgary & Alberta
Help property teams turn inspection findings, incomplete records, and changing tenant needs into clear next steps.
Discuss Your PropertyClear priorities for occupied properties
Property owners and managers often coordinate fire safety work across tenants, building staff, and outside contractors. Records may sit in different places, responsibilities may be unclear, and an unresolved finding can remain open through several changes of personnel. Maltters provides focused consulting for commercial properties in Calgary and across Alberta, starting with the concern you need to resolve.
Your engagement may focus on an office building, retail property, shared areas, or selected buildings in a portfolio. We agree the areas, available information, deliverables, and limitations before work begins. The review supports practical decisions without promising that a building will receive approval or that every issue can be resolved through consulting alone.

Tenant and operational changes

A practical review process
1. Explain the concern
Share your property type, Alberta location, current findings, and any deadline. Identify the person who can coordinate records and access.
2. Agree the work
Confirm the documents and areas to be reviewed, tenant access arrangements, and required deliverables before the engagement begins.
3. Organise follow-up
Discuss the findings with your team, separate confirmed observations from missing information, and identify who needs to take the next action.
Prepare for the first conversation
Useful starting information includes the building’s location and use, the number of properties involved, the main concern, and recent reports. Tell us about tenant access restrictions, planned renovations, or a change of property manager. Existing drawings, service reports, emergency plans, and open action lists may help define the review.
Do not submit confidential tenant details, access codes, or sensitive building plans through the public form. We can discuss suitable arrangements for relevant records first. Consulting does not replace required inspections, equipment testing, maintenance, engineering design, or approval by the applicable authority.
Property management questions
Can we start with an existing inspection report?
Yes. Share the nature of the findings and the decision you need to make. We can discuss a focused review of the report and available evidence, identifying where another specialist or clarification is needed.
Can the review cover multiple properties?
A portfolio engagement can be discussed. Each location, its available records, and its review boundaries should be identified in the scope; a finding at one property is not automatically a finding at another.
Do tenants need to be involved?
That depends on the areas and questions included. We agree access and communication arrangements with your nominated contact so the review can account for occupied spaces and relevant responsibilities.
Does this include system testing or repairs?
These are separate from the consulting review unless expressly included in an appropriate engagement. Recommendations can identify work to discuss with qualified service providers.
